The Foundry launches 'Student Championship' competition

LONDON — The Foundry has launched “The Foundry Student Championship,” a competition that will allow young creatives across the world to showcase their best design and VFX work to an international audience. The annual campaign forms part of The Foundry’s commitment to supporting the next generation of creative talent and empowering artists to bring creative ideas to life.

The best entries will be showcased on a dedicated page on The Foundry’s Website (https://www.thefoundry.co.uk/industries/education/whats-in-my-mind/) alongside major artist work, as well as featured in marketing collateral, social media and industry events around the world. The three best submissions will each be awarded the Production Collective, which includes industry-leading software tools Nuke Studio, Modo and Mari, worth well over $7,000. An overall winner will also be selected and given the prestigious title of The Foundry Student Champion of 2016. Entries will be judged by a panel of experts at The Foundry.

“The VFX and design industry is incredibly competitive to break into, as a company we are really passionate about giving the students with visionary ideas and potential the chance to promote their work and super-charge their career,” says Alex Mahon, CEO at The Foundry. “We are committed to championing creative and design professionals across the board, especially the stars of tomorrow. We’re anticipating some phenomenal entries and want to help the next generation of creative talent to prosper. This is one of the most exciting industries in the world to work in, and we want to use our strength to help find its future leaders.”

The competition will close on December 2nd at 5pm.
