MIAMI — Post boutique Marca (www.marcamiami.com) helped launch a new campaign for H&R Block that features Latin urban recording artist Wisin. Editor Silvina Soto cut the :30 and :60 spots, which call attention to H&R Block’s February promotion. Each day, through February 15th, 1,000 people will win $1,000 — totaling $1 million a day for the first month of the tax refund season.
Marca, H&R Block’s agency of record, conceived the spot. Wisin re-recorded his hit song “Piquete” for the campaign. In the new version, titled “Billete” (money), the star encourages US Latinos to file their taxes early and visit H&R Block offices for a chance at the daily drawing. Soto cut the project on an Avid Media Composer V.8.4.4 system, working off an EditShare network. Assimilate Scratch was employed for color grading. Graphics and effects were created using Adobe After Effects.
