LAS VEGAS – Linear Acoustic has announced updates for its AERO.10 and AERO.100 DTV audio processors as well as its AERO.2000 aduio/loudness manager
.
AERO.10 provides the same high quality processing found in the entire AERO product range, but at a significantly lower price point. New since the product was first introduced at IBC 2015 is the option fora 2+2+2+2+2 configuration to support up to five simultaneous stereo programs.
AERO.10 is a fully-featured audio processor supporting up to 10 channels of PCM audio via AES, SDI, or stereo analog I/O and uses the same AEROMax processing engine and the UPMax II upmixing and downmixing algorithm as AERO.100 and AERO.2000. It supports fITU-R BS.1770-3 and EBU R128 loudness metering and logging, including True Peak.
AERO.100 includes eight channels of AES I/O and 16 channels of HD/SD-SDI I/O. It features AEROMax adaptive wideband and multiband, multistage, ITU compliant, loudness control algorithm and UPMaxII upmixing/downmixing algorithm, which provides an engaging 5.1-channel audio experience from two channel sources. All instances include support for SAP/DVS, local emergency audio, local voiceover and optional Audio Description (warble tone) functionality.
AERO.2000 includes 16 channels of AES and HD/SD-SDI I/O and offers front panel controls, a color display and a headphone output. It features the AEROMax loudness control algorithm and the UPMaxII upmixing/downmixing algorithm. Like with the AERO.100, all instances include support for SAP/DVS, local emergency audio, local voiceover and optional Audio Description functionality. Now standard, Linear Acoustic CrowdControl ensures that dialogue always remains intelligible in the mix.
