Canon to present panels & demos at Sundance

PARK CITY, UT — Canon will be hosting the Canon Creative Studio in conjunction with the Sundance Film Festival. From Saturday, January 23rd through Tuesday, January 26th, Canon will be presenting demos and panel discussions at 427 N. Main Street in Park City. The company invites attendees to learn more about how Canon supports all aspects of filmmaking, from pre-production to production through post.

Canon Live Learning Walking Tours
Get hands-on training with the new EOS C300 Mark II. Loren Simons, Canon’s Senior Product and Sales Trainer, will lead small groups on walking tours through scenic downtown Park City, exploring the camera’s high-sensitivity shooting capabilities, dual-pixel CMOS autofocus, and internal HD/2K/4K recording system. 4K Post-Production Demo with Adobe Premiere Pro CC
Director, Editor, and Colorist Jon Carr will lead a live demo of the EOS C300 Mark II's post-production workflow. Get acquainted with the camera's 15 stops of dynamic range and new Canon Log 2 picture profile. Using Canon's DPV-3010 4K reference displays, Carr will share his tricks of the trade for ingesting, editing, and coloring 4K footage in Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

Polly Morgan Photo Exhibit
Leading cinematographer Polly Morgan (Holy Hell, The Intervention) will unveil a gallery of never-seen-before original images, shot with a range of Canon EF lenses. Her stunning images were all printed with the new imagePROGRAF PRO-1000.

Sundance FF Filmmaker Portrait Studio
Canon invites cinematographers, editors, production designers, directors, and other filmmakers of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival to get their portrait taken by photographer Michael Ori. Guests will go home with an 8" x 10" copy of their stunning portraits, printed on the new imagePROGRAF PRO-1000. A selection of the images will also be featured in an online gallery on Indiewire.com.
