SEATTLE — Automatic Duck (www.automaticduck.com) has released Xsend Motion, a new timeline translation application for Final Cut Pro X editors and Apple Motion artists. Xsend Motion made its debut at NAB in April, when president/co-founder Wes Plate demonstrated how the tool instantly converts XML from Final Cut Pro X to a Motion 5 project.
Xsend Motion reads XML exports, or is able to process projects directly from the Final Cut Pro X Share menu. Xsend Motion is also able to translate clip transforms, speed changes, and many third party filters.
The application is available immediately, and customers who purchase it before June 8th will receive a discounted price of $79 (normally $99). Visit FxFactory (https://fxfactory.com/info/xsendmotion/) to purchase it.
Freelance producer Mark Spencer served as a beta tester for Xsend Motion leading up to its release. He produces Final Cut Pro X and Motion-related training and plug-ins with his partners at Ripple Training, and is also an Apple-certified Master Trainer. Having used it for some time, Spencer says, “Automatic Duck Xsend Motion is a godsend for Final Cut Pro X editors who use Motion to add motion graphics and visual effects to their videos. Finally, there is a simple way to get your edited clips, complete with temp effects, titles, and transitions, into Motion!”
