GRASS VALLEY, CA — AJA Video Systems (www.aja.com) is now shipping its U-TAP HDMI and U-TAP SDI products, providing high quality HD/SD capture through a bus powered USB 3.0 port. The U-TAP products offer a simple, cost-effective and portable solution for plug-and-play capture that is compatible with OS X and Windows, and a broad range of software applications.
U-TAP HDMI can capture from HDMI sources, including cameras, switchers or any non-HDCP input. U-TAP SDI supports capture of up to 1080p 60 professional 3G-SDI signals. The devices are small and easily transportable. In addition, they are housed in durable aluminum cases. The HDMI and SDI products run on drivers built into OS X and Windows with nearly universal support for a range of video and audio software. Support for Linux is planned for the near future too. Bus powered connectivity means there are no external power supplies needed.
Pricing is $345 for either unit.
