NEW YORK — Wax (www.wax.tv), the boutique film editorial company and creative collective, has added editor Christopher Huth to its roster. Huth's award-winning work includes the Cannes Gold PR Lion-winning Honey Maid “This is Wholesome” campaign for Droga 5 and the Cannes Grand Prix-winning Mobile Lion campaign for Google “Demo Slam,” via Johannes Leonardo. The also cut the AICP Best in Show spot Dear Sophie for Google Chrome’s “the web is what you make of it” campaign, via BBH New York.
“I’m thrilled to have Chris as part of the team at Wax,” says Wax editor/founder Stephen Jess. “I think his unique and creative approach to storytelling is a great complement to the team.”
Huth joins from Lost Planet, where he enjoyed collaborations with Smuggler director David Frankham on spots for Mercedes and Bank of America, and with Independent Media’s Janusz Kaminski, working on spots for New York Times Magazine and JBL. In addition, a fair share of his work has been outside of traditional production workflow, either sourcing material with his own team (Mazda, iStock), creating fresh concepts from existing footage banks (Visa, Belvedere) or generating spots through graphic interface/online content (Google).
Huth is currently editing his first campaign for Wax, an AT&T project directed by The Mercadantes via BBDO NY.
