LOS ANGELES — Lisa Johnson has joined the bicoastal Union Editorial as executive producer. Her career spans two decades on the agency and client side, including senior and executive positions at Chiat Day/LA, Deutsch/LA and Target Corporation/MN. She will be based in LA, working alongside company president, Michael Raimondi. Additionally, longtime Union staff members Joe Ross and Rob McCool have been promoted to executive producer roles at the company.
“I have worked with Lisa for over ten years both on the client and agency side, and have amazing respect and love for her as a producer and as a person,” says Raimondi. “When the opportunity arose to hire an executive producer, Lisa was the person I wanted. If I couldn’t get her, then I would think about other people. Luckily for us, I didn't have to talk to anyone else."
“This is perfect timing for me,” said Johnson. “I always thought post would be the next move for me, since it is my favorite part of the process. And I honestly wouldn’t have wanted to work anywhere other than Union.”
Johnson began her career in Dallas as a line producer, working with production companies as well as agencies DDB Needham and Focus Agency. Freelance assignments led to a position on the client side as senior producer at Target Corporation, Minneapolis. Roles as senior producer, Chiat Day, Los Angeles, and executive producer, VP, Deutsch, LA, followed.
Union Editorial has offices in Santa Monica, New York City, Austin TX, and London, where it maintains an alliance with Marshall Street Editors.
