Sim Group companies support numerous Emmy-nominated shows

LOS ANGELES — Chainsaw, a Sim Group company (www.simgroup.com), provided post production services for 11 television productions that received a total of 54 nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards. The studio contributed to HBO’s Game of Thrones, which led all shows with 24 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, as well as nominations in directing, cinematography, editing and sound categories. Chainsaw performed editorial conforming and color grading for the show.

Other nominated productions that were serviced by Chainsaw include: The Oscars (ABC), 8 nominations; So You Think You Can Dance (Fox), 8 nominations; The Kennedy Center Honors (CBS), 4 nominations; The Amazing Race (CBS), 3 nominations; The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards (NBC), 2 nominations; Alaska: The Last Frontier (Discovery Channel), 1 nomination; American Idol (Fox), 1 nomination; Jane the Virgin (CBS), 1 nomination; Key & Peele Super Bowl Special (Comedy Central), 1 nomination; and A Tribute to Mel Brooks (FX), 1 nomination.

SIM Group’s other companies also contributed to Emmy-nominated productions. Post Factory, New York, provided editing facilities for the HBO documentary The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst (6 nominations) and casting facilities for Netflix’ Orange is the New Black (4 nominations). Pixel Underground, Toronto, provided post production services to HGTV’s Property Brothers (1 nomination). Bling Digital provided dailies and workflow services for Amazon’s Bosch (1 nomination), Warner Bros.’ Constantine (1 nomination) and CBS’s The Dovekeepers (1 nomination). And SIM Digital, Atlanta, provided camera packages for Constantine.

The 67th Emmy Awards will be held on September 20 in Los Angeles.
