ORLANDO — Post met up with the team from Rampant Design Tools yesterday. The company recently released 20 new effects libraries, all based on optical effects captured in-camera with Red Epic and Dragon cameras. Effects include light, paint, distortion, flares, transitions and textures.
Rampant currently offers 42 volumes of effects, and each volume contains anywhere from 200 to 2,000 visual effects that can be combined with footage using any popular compositing program. Pricing starts as low as $79 for a 2K ProRes collection. The company also offers 4K ($299) and 5K ($599) versions.
According to Sean Mullen, Rampant’s effects can be see on promos for NBC’s
Blindspot, and
America’s Got Talent. Rampant offers a number of free drag & drop style effects for pros to try out via its
