CHICAGO – Stir Post Audio continues to grow its creative audio talent roster with the recent addition of engineer/mixer Nick Bozzone. A native Californian who honed his skills during a decade-long gig at POP Sound, Bozzone was most recently on-staff at Formosa Group, which took over the former POP complex when it closed in 2014. He will serve as senior mixer/engineer and will be available at both of Stir’s facilities.
Skilled at mixing across all media, Bozzone has worked with actors such as Owen Wilson, Jim Carrey, Martin Sheen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as with recording artists that include Usher, The Edge (from U2), Rob Halford, Ozzy Osborne and Jack Black.
Recently, he recorded Harrison Ford’s narration for the documentary The Age of the Airplane. He also contributed to the award-winning indie films
Harold’s Bad Day (Slamdance Short Film Festival),
David Hammerfist: Hammerfists of Fury
(Beverly Hills Shorts Festival) and
Iris
(Ridley Scott and Philips Cinema’s Parallel Lines Competition).
“Once again we’re ‘stirring it up’ by importing top talent from LA to Chicago,” says David Kaplan, executive producer and one of three partners in Stir Post, along with Mindy Verson and Greg Allan. “The addition of Nick Bozzone deepens our roster and offers another superstar choice to our clients. We know they will love working with Nick. He has a great ear, a great work ethic, and the unique ability to anticipate what clients want. We’re thrilled that he’s joining our team.”
Bozzone’s credits also include work on projects for BMW, 7Up, Walmart, Burger King, Toyota and Taco Bell. He recently mixed a short film for the hit video game Skylanders.
