BURBANK, CA – The Editors’ Lounge will hold its July meeting on Friday, the 31st, when it will showcase the latest versions of Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 12 and Fusion 7 Studio software. The event will be held at AlphaDogs Post Production (1612 W. Olive Ave., Suite 200, Burbank, CA 91506), and is free to attend, though an RSVP is required (http://www.editorslounge.com).
DaVinci Resolve 12 was introduced at the NAB show back in April. Product specialist Fred Beahm will give demonstrate the new software and its latest features. Beahm is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild and an Affiliate Member of American Cinema Editors. He has numerous editing credits to his name. Resolve 12 features an updated UI and expanded color-correction tools, as well as new editing, audio, and compositing features.
Fusion 7 Studio is currently available and the company recently announced upcoming Mac and Linux version of the VFX software. Product specialist Rony Soussan has over 25 years of experience as a 3D digital artist and VFX compositor, and is active on the Blackmagic Design Fusion user forum. Fusion Studio 7 features powerful toolsets for 2D and 3D VFX compositing, motion GFX design and animation, and 3D stereoscopic conversions.
Blackmagic will also have a number of its hardware products on hand, with representatives available to discuss features and answer questions.
The Lounge opens at 6:30pm, with presentations beginning at 7:00pm. Food will be provided and attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite beverage.
