CULVER CITY, CA — VFX boutique Kilt Studios (www.kiltstudios.com) has appointed Julie A. Weitzell head of business development/television. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment post production business to her role at Kilt. Weitzell’s previous roles include executive-level positions at The Post Group, Sunset Digital, EAI, and, most recently, NBC Universal.

Kilt recently expanded into new office space located at 3578 Hayden Avenue in Culver City, and launched an enhanced Website at www.kiltstudios.com. The company’s work includes effects support commercials (Acura, Under Armour and FDA) and music videos (Maroon 5 and Nicki Minaj). Recently, the studio completed a two commercial package for Under Armour featuring Jamie Foxx.
