LOS ANGELES — Emmy Award-winning producer Don Mischer and partners Charlie Haykel and Juliane Hare will return as producers of the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards airing live coast-to-coast from the Nokia Theatre LA in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 20th (8:00pm East Coast/5:00pm West Coast) on Fox. The event will be hosted by comedian/actor Andy Samberg of Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
“It's been a great year in television,” says Don Mischer. “Celebrating the best of the season is a thrill for us, and having the talented and hilarious Andy Samberg on board as host will make for a can't-miss celebration.”
Nominations for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards will be announced the morning of Thursday, July 16.
The Mischer team has produced events ranging from We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial, the Primetime Emmy Awards and the Academy Awards; to Super Bowl halftime shows (Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen) and both the Winter and Summer Olympic Games.
Mischer himself has been honored with 15 Emmy Awards, a record 10 Directors Guild of America Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement, two NAACP Image Awards, a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting, Europe's prestigious Gold Rose of Montreux and the 2012 Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television from the Producers Guild of America. This marks the 13th time that Don Mischer Productions will be helming the Emmy telecast.
