SANTA CLARA, CA – Assimilate has launched Scratch Web, a professional, cloud-based, multi-user collaboration and review tool that offers individual clip, timeline, or timeline+version sharing, as well as native support for industry-standard RAW camera formats. The tool allows pros to publish RAW material in any format, in any resolution, at any time, from anywhere in the world.
Scratch Web is designed for collaboration, allowing directors, DPs, editors, colorists and VFX pros to securely distribute digital content, be it Red, Arri, Blackmagic, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, MXF, DPX, EXR, or ProRes media. Current on-set users of Scratch Play or Scratch can directly publish raw media, along with metadata, to Scratch Web for immediate team review. Reviewers are able to view the content through HTML5-enabled Web browsers, or the upcoming mobile-connected Scratch Web app for iOS, Android, or Windows.
“Although there is no shortage of online media and file sharing choices, Scratch Web is first with a true, cloud-based timeline and versioning functionality, and native support for industry-standard RAW camera formats. It’s built for professionals, by professionals,” notes Lucas Wilson, VP of business development at Assimilate.
