SAN JOSE — Adobe has updated its Creative Cloud toolset with new features for video editors and expanded collaboration capabilities. Some of the highlights include the new Lumetri Color panel in Adobe Premiere Pro CC, which lets editors get results quickly, without requiring a background in color science.
Users can create looks from the world around them with the new Project “Candy” mobile app, which is currently in development, and share them via Creative Cloud Libraries. Looks can be used for references or to enhance the appearance of footage in Adobe Premiere Clip, Premiere Pro and After Effects CC.
Now, users can capture vector graphics with Adobe Shape CC or swatches with Adobe Color CC for use in After Effects. And Premiere Clip allows users to shoot and edit video on the go or bring media into desktop editing environment, with improved support in Premiere Pro.
Collaboration capabilities have been improved with the ability to share assets across applications and with colleagues via Creative Cloud Libraries, available in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro. Adobe Anywhere is now available in two versions for both on-site work within the same facility or remote production using Mercury Streaming.
Also new is Adobe Character Animator, which allows users to bring 2D artwork to life by performing into a Webcam. Edits in talking-head footage can be smoothed out with Morph Cut in Premiere Pro. And a project’s duration can automatically adjusted with Time Tuner in Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder CC.
