SUPER BOWL: Jeep's 'Restlessness' cut at 3008

DALLAS — 3008 (www.3008.com) worked with The Richards Group and Caviar/LA, to cut Restlessness, Jeep’s new spot that announces the return of the Cherokee SUV. The commercial marks the second consecutive year that 3008 and TRG have collaborated on a Super Bowl spot for Chrysler. Last year, the edit house and agency teamed up on the Farmer commercial for Ram Trucks.

Restlessness was cut in :60 and :30 versions. In it, a voiceover warns of the risks of stillness, which can kill the free spirit. Footage of the great northwest shows young people enjoying the great outdoors. The spot challenges “restless” viewers to “Go, run, act, find, and dare.” It then offers the new Cherokee as a means to get there.

Marc Stone cut the commercial, with Chris Collins assisting. Matt Cimino handled sound design and mixing. Mark Sullivan performed the online and Kristin Koch designed the graphics.

Earhole Studios in Chicago created the original music track. The spot was shot on location in Vancouver, Squamish and Ashcroft, British Columbia.
