LOS ANGELES — Cine Gear took place this weekend and the Web show “On the Couch,” hosted by Nino Leitner, gave attendees and Web viewers a chance to hear from a range of top post professionals.
G-Technology was a major sponsor of the program, and Diana Cartwright , senior director innovations solutions global marketing, took a moment to reflect on the company’s contributions over the past few days.
"G-Technology helps content creators tell their stories everyday on the set,” says Cartwright. “We’re partners in a critical process of storage, transfer and backup, but this weekend at Cine Gear, we helped content creators tell a different kind of story.
“In Nino Leitner’s On the Couch Live from Cine Gear, we heard Alex Buono and Adam Epstein of the Saturday Night Live Film Unit explain the incredible 72-hour process to shoot and edit up to 12 sketches, two live musical performances and one or two raw film pieces, in addition to Saturday morning shoots throughout Manhattan for the live Saturday night performance.
“We also heard extremely funny and intimate stories from Shane and Lydia Hurlbut, where Shane talked about the demands of having to negotiate shorter work days, including an unheard of six-hour day on the set, in exchange for more money for gear and production while balancing life, children and a 25-year marriage with Lydia. Bringing these hilarious and deeply personal stories to our audience is just another way that G-Technology engages with content creators everyday. G-Technology products are trusted for their speed and reliability when it matters the most."
