LAS VEGAS — Executives from Deluxe, a leader in media and entertainment services for film, video and online content, will be at the NAB show this year. The company, which will soon celebrate is centennial anniversary, is showing it newest products and services at the NAB Show.
Deluxe offers solutions for production, post production, distribution and asset management. The company works with many of the world’s successful TV networks and film studios. Company president and CEO Cyril Drabinsky, along with chief marketing and revenue officer Peter Feigin, and chief technology officer Steve Weinstein will all be on-hand at the Deluxe booth to discuss technologies and services.
Deluxe will kick things off with a Super Session, set for 10:30am on Monday, April 7. It will be hosted by William Sherak, co-president of content creation at Deluxe and president of 3D visual effects studio Stereo D, a Deluxe Company.
“Mythology Entertainment: Innovative Storytelling in Mythic Proportion“ will feature film producers Bradley J. Fischer and James Vanderbilt speaking with Sherak about the innovative and entrepreneurial ways that their company, Mythology Entertainment, creates content for all traditional and emerging release platforms in Features, TV and Online.
Sherak will moderate the discussion, drawing from his own successes in visual effects work on some of Hollywood’s most successful film properties and from Deluxe’s near 100 year experience in end-to-end content services. The trio will discuss new demands placed on today’s independent film producers and the emerging technologies that help to improve the quality of motion pictures and the distribution of content.
Elsewhere at NAB, Deluxe will spotlight its latest innovations in creative post production, distribution and asset management at a large booth in the South Upper Hall of LVCC (SU3714). Deluxe will demonstrate its innovative content management solution, Deluxe MediaRecall, which allows customers seamlessly to bring their content on-line—digitized, organized, dynamically searchable and ready for monetization.
Deluxe OnDemand also will figure among the many products and services spotlighted. Deluxe OnDemand—a multi-screen ready, on-demand video catalog solution—is a cloud-based offering that simplifies operations and provides access to the largest catalog of high-quality, pre-formated files at more than 50,000 titles and growing.
Deluxe also will provide an updated demonstration of Deluxe LeapCloud, the cloud-based broadcast system introduced at the NAB Show last year. LeapCloud products include PortaLive, a suite of tools that allows broadcasters to monitor, control and record live feeds; Portal, an award-winning, broadcast-grade media asset management system; and Playout, a state-of-the-art platform for broadcast playout and delivery.
Content creators in all media segments will want to take note of the latest creative post production tools developed by Deluxe’s Creative Services brands: Company 3 and EFILM. Those include Metatrack Portal—a simple and easy-to-use web content management portal that hides the complexity of mapping VFX pulls to the correct content—and ColorStream, a color correction and annotation collaboration tool for creatives in features and commercials. The free ColorStream Mobile app brings mobility to the post-production color process
