BURBANK, CA — The next gathering of The Editors’ Lounge will take place on Friday, September 26th, at Alpha Dogs, here. Avid, EditShare and AlterMedia will all be on-hand to share details on their latest post production tools.
Avid solution specialist Michael Krulik plans on demonstrating new features in the latest version of Avid Media Composer V.8.1, including the Avid Image Sequencer for DPX files, new trimming and copy tools in the timeline, and how to create multiple audio mix-downs. He’ll also hint at future developments.
Jesse Adams will present the very latest releases from EditShare, including Storage V.7 and the Flow V.3.1 media asset management platform. EditShare Storage has been thoroughly retooled to deliver higher stream counts, higher total throughput and smoother operation. A “quality of service” system reserves bandwidth for high-priority activities such as realtime capture or playout, and limits the bandwidth of low-priority activities. New features in EditShare Flow include AAF import support for better integration with Avid workflows.
And AlterMedia CEO Joel Stoner will also be on-hand, demonstrating Studio Suite Xi, the company’s newly redesigned studio management software. Studio Suite Xi now offers extensibility to the Web, iOS devices and the desktop with a redesigned UI for streamlined post production management.
The Lounge opens at 6:30pm and presentations will begin at 7pm. RSVP to the free event here: http://www.editorslounge.com/register.html. Alpha Dogs is located at: 1612 W. Olive Ave. #200, Burbank, CA 91506.
