PORTE DE VANVES, FRANCE — French film laboratory and post production house, Éclair Group (www.eclairgroup.com), has invested in a Quantel Pablo Rio, which it will use to boost its finishing capabilities. Each year, Éclair Group posts more than 50 feature length films, 100 shorts, 80 hours of television fiction, 25 hours of documentaries and over 100 commercials and trailers.
The company was created in 1907 as a film laboratory and movie camera manufacturer, and later moved into the post production of television commercials in the 1980s. In 2000, Éclair Group installed one of Europe's first 2K color-correction suites for work on feature-length films. The Pablo Rio system is designed for high quality color and finishing work.
Éclair Group director of production Thierry Beaumel and technical director Laurent Nikolli say that the new Pablo Rio will allow the studio to carry out the highest quality finishing of projects.
