LOS ANGELES — Pharrell’s new Gust of Wind music video is set in a dry forest, populated with trees covered in autumn foliage. A troop of dancers dressed in flowing robes complement the performer’s funky beat with fluid choreography and martial arts-inspired acrobatics. Lurking in the background are giant boulders shaped like the iconic helmets of Daft Punk. As the video progresses, the rocks transform into levitating UFOs, which light up and eventually head to the sky.
DNA produced the project, with Edgar Wright directing. Editor Jarrett Fijal of Bonch cut the Gust of Wind music video, which features VFX and color by The Mill in Los Angeles. Sound Brigade provided sound design services.
