LOS ANGELES — The new independent film Bending the Light offers a never-before-seen look into Canon’s Japanese lens factory.
Michael Apted (The ‘Up’ series, Masters of Sex, The World is Not Enough) directed the film, which celebrates the craft of photography, exploring the relationship between the artisans who craft camera lenses and the masters who use the lenses to capture their art form. Bending the Light also includes intimate interviews with award-winning photographers and cinematographers, such as Greg Gorman, Laura El-Tantawy, Richard Barnes, Simon Bruty, and Stephen Goldblatt, ASC.
