LONDON — Rushes (www.rushes.co.uk) has made two recent appointments. VFX producer Norra Abdul Rahim joined the studio as senior executive producer. She has an international background and brings a broad range of skills, having created high-end productions for the Asian market.
Her time in London includes working as EP/managing director of the boutique Realise, where she was responsible for production and recruitment. There, she ran day-to-day operations and managed creative teams and client relations. Rahim’s credits include work for O2, Radox, BMW, Mercedes, Coca Cola, Reebok and Ford. She has also worked on features, including Prince of Persia.
Andy Nicholas joins Rushes to head up the CG department, as part of the re-launched VFX team. He brings skills in animation software such as XSI, Houdini, Maya and RealFlow, and with compositing software, including Nuke, Shake and Fusion.
Before joining Rushes, Nicholas was a technical director and CG lead at The Mill, working on commercials, feature films and computer games development. His commercial credits include work for AT&T, Guinness, Barclaycard, Audi, Virgin and Sony.
