CULVER CITY, CA — The 2013 Creative Storage Conference (CS 2013) will present a session that looks at digital storage for post production. The conference (www.creativestorage.org) is set to take place on Tuesday, June 25, at the DoubleTree Hotel West Los Angeles in Culver City, CA.
“Session C: Making the Cut: Storage Challenges and Opportunities in Post Production” will be moderated by Larry Jordan of Digital Production Buzz. The vast pool of captured and created content requires sophisticated and high quality storage to support video editing and other post-production tasks. However post production requires streaming video quality and latencies that are very different from traditional enterprise storage. In addition, economic factors favor the creation of more collaborative workflows that span distance and time, and create greater demand for networked and online storage as well as semiconductor storage to speed performance. This session examines the challenges facing post production, with reports from end-users, and storage developers.
Speakers will include Michael King of DataDirect Networks; Hu Lee of Apace Systems; Janene Ellefson of Micron Technology, and Rick Kutcipal of STA. Panelists will include Jess Hartmann of ProMax and Skip Jones of QLogic.
Early conference registration is open until June 22. Pros can register to attend at: http://www.creativestorage.org/2013Register.htm.
