NEW YORK — On July 19, Tekserve (www.tekserve.com) will host a presentation on collaborative video editing workflows using Harmonic’s MXFserver and MediaGrid. MXFserver is a network editing server that seamlessly integrates the divergent workflows of Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro.
The MFXserver demo will look at how collaborative editing and storage can help editors work together or ease the transition from one editing platform to another. It targets those who work in a studio using multiple editing platforms, or those thinking about switching from one nonlinear editor to another.
What will be discussed: Shared operation on media files with Bin Locking for Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro; virtual media files: no copies, no double media, full security; edit with all stations directly on Sony XDCAM, Panasonic P2 and QuickTime files in any codec supported by your editing system; MXF project based: easy archiving to LTO5; ProTools and Pyramix audio support; fully shared editing on the Omneon MediaGrid; and uniform MediaBrowser.
Tekserve is located at 119 W. 23rd, NYC. Space is limited. To attend, register
