LOS ANGELES — At the SIGGRAPH show this week, PipelineFX will highlight two new additions to its Qube! render farm management family: a new app named Qube! MobileView, which makes viewing and managing render tasks on a mobile device easy; and a CPU core coordinator called QBLocker.
The company will also be sponsoring two workshops during the show. Today, August 6, Pipeline is presenting the Qube! Artist Workshop in room 301A of the Los Angeles Convention Center, Room 301A. It will run until 5pm.
On August 8, the company’s “Birds of a Feather” discussion will cover various “Challenges and Solutions for Today’s Render Pipeline.” Topics will include the pain points, trends, and capacity scaling strategies tied to render pipelines, as well as cloud rendering options and hybrid render pipeline models. After a panel discussion, the room will be opened up to audience questions. The event will take place from 1:30-3:00pm in LACC room 402A.
“For our 10th SIGGRAPH, we wanted to deliver something that made professional render management an even more intuitive and approachable process for pipeline managers,” notes Richard Lewis, CEO of PipelineFX. “Then we got inspired, and came up with two.”
