AMSTERDAM — Madrid, Spain’s SGO (www.sgomistika.com) is demonstrating its Mistika DI and stereo 3D post production system at this year’s IBC show. The system now sports Version 7.0 software and allows users to route and combine color selections across any number of layers, with all layers having a complete set of color transform functions, and all in a single tool designed to maintain realtime performance.
SGO has further developed Mistika's ability to support High Frame Rates (HFR) with realtime, high-resolution playback, in 2D and stereo 3D at 48fps and even 60 fps. Brand new for IBC, Mistika expands upon its existing SAN storage technology, which already allows customers to share project assets across multiple Mistika systems and non-SGO products.
At the show, SGO is hosting presentations every 30 minutes, complimented by workflow case studies by Tony Pratt from Park Road Post. The company offers several versions of Mistika to meet different workflows. These include Mistika Post, On-Set, Live, Assist, Totem, Farm and Bridge releases. The company is also offering a free educational training program, dubbed Mistika Insight. Designed specifically for students and freelancers, Insight enables them to learn Mistika by gaining hands-on experience, within the parameters of their own environment and provides an opportunity to join the growing community of Mistika users. Based on a Windows operating system, the training program is complimented by a comprehensive set of online tutorials that lead to an SGO certification process.
