SAN JOSE — Saker Klippsten, engineering head of visual production studio Zoic, will be a keynote speaker at the 2011 Creative Storage Conference (www.creativestorage.org), set to take place on Tuesday, June 28, at the DoubleTree Hotel West Los Angeles in Culver City, CA. Saker joins Larry Jordan as the other featured speaker and will present a keynote titled “Storage Management in Modern Media Workflows.” Its focus will look at the constant call to reduce overhead, squeeze productivity and longevity from large capital purchases like digital storage.
“We will take a look at how clustered storage solutions with a single name space has simplified and improved workflows at Zoic Studios,” he notes.
Saker helped build Zoic from the ground up. In nine years he has developed a pipeline that started off with two TV shows and now handles more than 20 HD programs, feature films, commercials, game development and interactive design using a single unified pipeline.
The Theme of the fifth Creative Storage Conference is “Content Storage Drivers in the Studio and the Cloud.” The agenda for the one-day conference is posted online (www.creativestorage.org/2011Agenda.htm), and online conference registration is open until June 20.
