HOLLYWOOD — Technicolor has hired veteran re-recording sound mixers Scott Millan and Greg Russell. The team will launch Technicolor’s new theatrical mix stages at Paramount Studios, which are set to open in Hollywood this fall.
Millan and Russell have amassed a combined 22 Oscar nominations over the past three decades, including four wins for Millan (T he Bourne Ultimatum, Ray, Gladiator and

Salt, for which they recently received Oscar nominations.
Technicolor’s new theatrical sound facility is located in the middle of the Paramount lot and allows for the consolidation of Technicolor’s LA-based broadcast post offerings, along with its ADR and Foley stages. The building also features world-class theatrical mixing theatres and a file-based workflow that can connect to other Technicolor facilities around the world by way of the Technicolor Production Network (TPN).
