WILMINGTON, NC — Digieffects (www.digieffects.com) will release Version 2.5 of its Damage, Delirium and Buena Depth Cue plug-in packs next week. The upgrade represents the most innovation and advances put into the releases in last four years, says company president Robert Sharp.
Damage ($99) provides After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut Pro and Quantel users with tools for adding artifacts and other exposure problems to footage.
Delirium ($299) is Digieffects’ flagship product and consists of 45 plug-ins spanning five product families. Nature/Phenomena is designed for adding bubbles, fire and smoke. Color helps users apply grayscale, gradient, and polarizing effects. The Distort collection provides tools for creating crystallizing effects, as well as newsprints, grids and stargates. The Mood collection can be used for creating glows, lightwraps and channel lighting, while Composite is designed to help NLE users apply effects.
Buena Depth Cue ($199) is a collection of plug-ins created specifically for After Effects users. The plug-ins are designed to help users create 3D effects in 2D projects.
With the latest upgrade, Damage and Delirium receive native support for Apple’s Final Cut Pro X. Pros will also be able to buy theme-based bundles, as opposed to an entire collection, for just $149.
All three packages feature improved usability and easier registration. Compatibility with Windows 7, Lion OS, and CS 5.5 has also been improved. The Version 2.5 release will be available for free to all V.2.0 users. And paid upgrade path is available to V.1 users too.
Digieffects will launch the V.2.5 release the week of October 24th.
