HOLLYWOOD — Deluxe Entertainment Services Group has rebranded its visual effects companies Method and CIS Visual Effects. Deluxe acquired Method from Ascent Media in December 2010. The expanded company will now go by the name Method Studios (www.methodstudios.com), and will specialize in the creation of visual effects for the feature films and commercials. Method Studios has facilities in Los Angeles, Vancouver, New York and London.
“By combining CIS with Method, we are able to provide our clients a broader range of visual effects services with an integrated workflow across Deluxe’s multiple locations,” explains Stefan Sonnenfeld, president of creative services for Deluxe.
Dan Glass (pictured) has been appointed executive vice president. He recently served as an independent senior visual effects supervisor on the film The Tree of Life.
Paul Ryan, formally CTO at Weta Digital, has been brought on to act as the new VP of technology.
Dennis Hoffman, senior VP, will oversee daily operations at the Vancouver facility, and Drew Jones will continue his role as vice president of features based in the London office. Gabby Gourrier remains as VP of production in Los Angeles and Jay Lichtman heads up the New York team as executive producer.
