EMERYVILLE, CA — System integration company Advanced Systems Group (ASG) will present an Animation & Compositing Tools Workshop on Wednesday, May 25. The free event will take place from 10am to 4pm at the South San Francisco Conference Center, located at 255 South Airport Blvd., in South San Francisco.
The Animation & Compositing Tools Workshop will focus on computer animation, compositing, and visual effects software, and will include in-depth product demonstrations, as well as refreshments and prize raffles. “This workshop will explore various creation software tools and offer advanced tips and tricks for animators,” notes ASG president Dave Van Hoy. “It’s a unique opportunity to learn about modernized pipelines for improved workflows, as well as interact with the technology experts who provide the tools that empower today’s computer animation artists.”
The workshop is targeting towards animators, compositors, editors, modelers, riggers, and producers. It will include a panel discussion from the Visual Effects Society and will explore motion capture for 3D character animation, digital sculpting, and texture painting.
Live demos will be presented of Autodesk Maya, Motion Builder, Mudbox, and 3DS Max, as well as Adobe After Effects and Apple Motion.
