SUPER BOWL: SCORING GOOGLE'S 'PARISIAN LOVE'

Parisian Love focuses on the “Search” field on the Google homepage. As questions are input, the viewer sees a narrative play out, from picking a school abroad, to impressing a French girl, to finding a wedding chapel.

Analogue Muse and its sister brand Muse Mix helped establish a mood for the spot, which originally launched on Hulu and YouTube as a :52 video. In order to transform it into a full :60 spot more suitable for the television, Analogue partners Jeremy Turner and Alan Zahn, along with Muse’s Nick Cipriano and Geoff Strasser, went back to the drawing board. The challenge was to score the additional :08 of footage without sacrificing the already established tempo, pace, tone or quality.

“This spot had a real effect on people – countless bloggers testified that viewing it really touched them and some even inquired as to where they can purchase the music,” recalls Turner. The team worked closely with director Duffy, sending revisions back and forth, and working together to build the loops and layers, ultimately achieving the finished piece.
