EMMYS: SIX NOMINATIONS FOR UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SOUND
Re-recording mixers John W. Cook II, CAS and Peter J. Nusbaum have two nominations in the “Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation” category. One for their work on The Office (“The Michael Scott Paper Co.”) and the other for an episode of Scrubs (“My Jerks”).
Gerry Lentz, CAS and Richard Weingart, CAS are nominated in the “Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One-Hour)” for their work on House (“House Divided”).
Michael Olman, CAS and Kenneth Kobett, CAS are nominated in the “Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Movie” category for the “Redemption” episode of 24.
Olman and Kobett also have two nominations in the “Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One-Hour)” category. One for the “10:00PM-11:00PM” episode of 24, and the other for the “Daybreak” episode of Battlestar Galactica.
The Awards will be held on September 12 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
