EMMYS: ENGINEERING AWARDS ANNOUNCED
Four Engineering Emmys will also be presented. The Henson Digital Puppetry Studio (The Jim Henson Company) will receive an award for their animation system that allows performers to puppeteer and voice digital characters in realtime on a soundstage setting with multiple virtual cameras and a realtime viewer.
Fujinon will be recognized for its Precision Focus Assist, which gives camera operators the ability to ensure fast accurate focusing of HD images under varying conditions.
Litepanels will be honored for its LED lighting products. The company offers low-voltage, low-wattage, energy efficient, LED lighting fixtures that allow for a wide range of applications.
And Dolby will receive an Engineering Emmy for its DP600 program optimizer, an innovative audio platform that provides a file-based automated workflow solution for faster-than-realtime encoding, decoding, conversion, transcoding, loudness correction, audio creation, and upmixing.
One Engineering Plaque also will be awarded to Grip Trix for its Electric Motorized Camera Dolly. This special equipment camera dolly is virtually silent and is adaptable to accommodate just about any moving camera shot.
