AUTODESK ANNOUNCES NEW MAC APPLICATIONS
Toxik 2009 offers a suite of new tools to support stereoscopic productions and the creation of set extensions with realtime interactive high resolution compositing. The Mac OS X version will be available in English in March at a suggested price of $3,495.
Mudbox 2009 is designed for painting, texturing and re-touching 3D models. The app provides an organic, brush-based 3D modeling and texture-painting experience. The release is expected to be available in English in February for $745.
ImageModeler 2009 is an image-based modeling and photogrammetry software that generates 3D models from photographs. An easy-to-learn, three-step workflow lets users achieve photorealistic results with real-world accuracy. The Mac OS X version should be available in March for $995.
2009 versions of Maya 3D modeling, animation and rendering software and Autodesk Stitcher photo-stitching software are already available on the Mac.
