STUN & BUSTER ANIMATE PRESIDENTS FOR DISCOVERY MARATHON

The animated segments have a photo cut-out style and describe some of the jobs past Presidents held before taking office. President Lincoln was a butcher, for example, which helped him cut pork barrel spending once in office. And President Ford once washed dishes, which was useful in trying to clean up President Nixon's tarnished image. Other Presidents represented include Carter, Roosevelt, Garfield, Grant and Johnson.

The segments open with the Republican elephant and Democratic donkey dropping loads of poop, tying in to Dirty Jobs' often unpleasant theme. The Presidents are then comically portrayed putting their past dirty job experience to use in Washington, DC.

Character design and 3D animation was performed using Autodesk Maya. Adobe Photoshop was used for character manipulation, and After Effects handled 2D animation and compositing. Objects and backgrounds were created in Illustrator. The segments were cut in Final Cut Pro.
