NYC'S BLUE ROOM MOVES INTO BIGGER SPACE
The studio worked closely with architect Elias Moser (modenyc.com) on the design of the new West 18th Street space.
Modular furniture allows the Blue Room team to reconfigure its workspace based on the project that's in-house. The studio features 12-foot ceilings, and new ceiling fans have been added to maximize airflow in the bullpen.
The new space is home to three networked editing systems - two high definition Final Cut set-ups and one Avid Adrenaline HD system. The solutions are connected via an EditShare system, which also links the shop's 20 graphic workstations that are running Adobe After Effects.
On the audio side, Blue Room has a Digidesign Pro Tools suite. And a green cyclorama is available for graphics and visual effects shoots.
The space also includes three producer offices, a machine room, client areas, a full kitchen with a bar, a reception area and play space.
