LUXOLOGY IMPROVES 3D CONTENT CREATION APPLICATION
Luxology is also making available the first version of the Modo File
I/O software development kit (SDK), which allows developers to import
or export data directly from Modo.
The new Flex tool provides an efficient way to select and pose meshes,
and the sculpting tools are made more fluid with a new soft brush that
smoothly interpolates strokes. Rendering has been enhanced in the new
release. Physical Sun and Physical Sky simulation provide realistic sky
color and light intensity based on location, date and time of day. For
added realism, Modo now renders blooms for intensely lit or glowing
areas.
On the animation side, a new Track View editor delivers improvement in
the animation capability of the tool and applies an intuitive Modo user
interface to the task of creating and fine-tuning complex sequences.
And layered PSD files can now be used to automatically create texture
layers in Modo’s Shader Tree.
The File I/O SDK provides a new API for creating plug-ins in C or C++
that import or export Modo scene and image data to and from other
formats. Pricing is $895.
