GREENSCREEN STOCK LIBRARY TO LAUNCH THIS MONTH

Thousands of clips can be downloaded from the greenlayers.com eCommerce Website in the lossless QuickTime file format, chosen for its 32-bit alpha channel support. Visitors to the site can search for clips using the “Intuitive Assist” search engine and even search clips by actor’s travel paths.

New greenscreen clips are shot each week at Orion Media in Melbourne, Australia. The library features footage of actors in work and play situations, and contains all manner of age, ethnicity, professions, wardrobe, eras, makeup and props.

Later this year, Greenlayers.com plans to act as a stock image and video aggregator for third party content producers. They’ll be invited to shoot a range of stock video and photo backgrounds to match the library of actor clips. Original musical compositions, Foley sounds and visual special effects will also be added at a later date, making the site a one-stop compositing shop.

The Website has samples of how the clips can be used, and also offers tutorials, and free trial clips. The Green Room compositing application lets visitors assemble their own sequences.

Clips start as low as $10 for a single use royalty free basis. Rights managed clips are also available. The company’s eCommerce site will go live on April 1st. They will also be exhibiting at NAB in April.
