GIANT INTERACTIVE LAUNCHES ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING DIVISION

Heading up Giant Interactive's original programming division are executive producer Jeffrey Eagle and supervising producer Allie Rosenzweig. The team, along with its producers, writers and editors, has worked on projects for Walt Disney Studios, Lionsgate, ABC Family and Starz Entertainment, and are already underway on several original productions for broadcast, Blu-ray, DVD and digital media.

"We at Giant Interactive see Blu-ray not only as the successor to DVD," notes Jeff Stabenau, president, "but as a marvelous challenge to give our clients a whole new way of looking at interactive digital content. Having the right tools and creative environment is the first important step."

Prior to joining Giant, Eagle served as creative director for Herzog-Cowen Entertainment, where he collaborated on such film and television titles as Pirates of the Caribbean, Ray, Serenity, Desperate Housewives, The Polar Express, West Wing, Scrubs and Wedding Crashers.

Jay Chumley will serve as Giant's newly-appointed director of digital operations in Los Angeles. He brings over 15 years of experience, working in media distribution, including Web, DVD, Enhanced CD-ROM, DVD-Audio, UMD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray. For the last five years, he has worked at LaserPacific and 1K Studios. At 1K he oversaw the development of the Blu-ray department, where he was responsible for such New Line titles as The Golden Compass, Harold and Kumar, Pan's Labyrinth and Semi-Pro.
