DOORPOST FILM PROJECT OFFERS OPPORTUNITIES TO NEW FILMMAKERS
Entrants can make a film in any format and genre, but they can be no
longer than five minutes in length. Films must be based on one of seven
concepts: love, greed, redemption, pain, forgiveness, freedom or
energy. Projects can be upload to The Doorpost Film Project’s Website
for submission from February 1st through May 1st. A panel of industry
experts, along with online viewers, will select 15 finalists.
The 15 finalists will be announced June 2 and will be given $10,000 to
create a second film that must be eight to 10 minutes in length.
Following a second period of voting, the winners will be announced at a
film symposium and awards presentation on September 13th in Nashville,
TN.
The third-place winner will receive $20,000, the second place winner
will receive $30,000 and the first place winner will be awarded
$100,000 and a trip to Los Angeles to meet with development studios.
