BOND'S WORK FOR JETS HAS SURPRISING TWIST

The commercial takes place in a dark tunnel leading out to the playing field. A figure in a fur coat stands with his back to the camera. The viewer might think it's Jets legend "Broadway" Joe Namath, but in a comic twist, the figure turns around and is revealed to be Donald Trump.

The :30 Namath was shot by New York's Robinson Films using a Red camera and was posted at Bond via a Red/Avid workflow the studio developed through its own experience in recent months working with the Red format.

Bond editor Stas Lipovetskiy says the challenge was perfectly capturing the NFL Films-type feel with the dramatic pacing, music and voiceover, building all the tension to the comedic payoff. Contributors included visual effects artist Jeff Spangler of Bond FX and Mark Cobrin at Bond Audio, who handled the audio post. Lipovetskiy handled color correction in his own suite.
