SUSPECT COMPLETES VFX FOR CHRISTINA AGUILERA SPOT

Christina Aguilera Signature Fragrance shows the artist scanning her wardrobe, unable to decide what to wear. She disrobes and sprays the fragrance across her body, and as the mist lands on her back, a tattoo is created, resembling the design on the bottle. The commercial was produced by North Six.

According to Suspect's VFX super/lead Flame artist, Tim Crean, extensive animation tests were performed to solve the challenge of the spray and spreading tattoo. Several CG tests were performed using particle systems, then the directors shot practical elements for the mist to be incorporated with the live-action.

Suspect's Karen Heston and Jaime Aguirre also served as Flame artists on the project. Frank Lee provided 2D animation and Lindsay Bourget handled design. In addition to Flame 2008, the studio used Adobe After Effects 7

The spot was edited by Chad Sipkin of Consulate. Fergus McCall at The Mill handled telecine.
