Conceived by Saatchi & Saatchi and
produced by Mr. Wonderful (www.mrwonderful.tv), the :30 Hardware Store commercial shows an elderly lady, patiently waiting
on line, when an inconsiderate man cuts in front of her. Rather than tolerate
this bold act, the woman throws herself on the floor and then declares the man
is to fault, proving that she is just like an El Paso taco shell - tacos that stand up for themselves.
Mark Littman directed the commercial, which stars actress
Jan Owen. The spot was shot on 35mm and was edited on an Avid
Adrenaline by Scott Rankin at Northern Lights (www.nlpedit.com). Company 3's
Billy Gabor was colorist for the commercial. Northern Lights' Cecil Hooker
handled the conform using an Autodesk Smoke system.
Rankin also created sound design for the
commercial, which was mixed at Sound Lounge by Patrick Christensen.
