"This upgrade enables
facilities to create pristine digital picture files faster and more
efficiently," explains Kim Snyder, GM, worldwide origination products, and VP
for Kodak's entertainment imaging division. "It will speed up and enhance the
workflow for digital intermediate, visual effects, film restoration and other
applications."
The Version 2.0 release
incorporates an option for providing untouched image data along with the output
defect matte generated by the software. The untouched information feature can
be more efficient for facilities that have invested in other dust- busting
workflow technologies.
Tri-level output defect matte
and dirt/scratch utilities are also included in Version 2.0, offering a first
level in-scanner correction option for less significant defects.
The new release will be
available to current licensed scanner partners for integration during the first
quarter of 2007.
