His primary focus will be on servicing all Warner Bros. Studios' post
production sound clients, ranging from motion pictures and television to DVD
mastering, audio restoration and emerging media.
Waugh was most recently VP, post production services for Warner Bros. Studio
Facilities, a position he had held since 2004. During that time he was part of
the team that opened the studio's client-focused "future-of-the-art" post
production sound facility.
Prior to joining Warner Bros., Waugh worked at Ascent Media Creative Sound
Services, where he served as senior VP of sales and marketing. He also spent
more than 10 years at Soundelux, holding posts as president of Soundelux Vine
Street Studios and Signet Soundelux Studios.
In 1995, he received a Scientific and Technical Award from
the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for his work on the development
of the ADE (Advanced Data Encoding) System, or "Kiwi 9000," which creates an
encoded timecode track and database during the initial transfer of the
production sound dailies.
