Knight had just three days to create a five-minute music
video that would focus primarily on Timberlake's performance. In addition to
the tight deadline, Knight had to sift through a large volume of footage.
"The difficulty was trying to turn a 10-minute film into a half-length
version that didn't have a pure storyline," he notes. "A small part
of the love interest was woven into the video; however, the real spotlight was
on Justin Timberlake's performance. It was a real pleasure to work with Sam
Bayer again. He shoots a lot of takes and angles, and alternative performance
set-ups. The record label approved the cut right away and was really happy with
it."
Logan Hefflefinger assisted on the edit. The music video was onlined at Ntropic
in LA.
