Hill was most recently with Sony Pictures Imageworks (SPI), where he
collaborated with Pixar to improve all aspects of its Renderman solution - most
notably the implementation of fast point occlusion and indirect illumination
approximation functionality. At Sony, he operated as a core member of the
facility production pipeline standards committee, and 2D and 3D proprietary
software standards and development councils. He conceived and authored
automated shot assembly and assignment tools for Haunted Mansion and Polar
Express, in addition to creating the "One-Touch" rendering and pipeline
automation tool used as a facility standard on all SPI projects.
Hill was a CG supervisor for the upcoming movie, Beowolf.
